The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties (CFPBMC) is an organization led by a board of local leaders that carefully stewards more than $160 million in assets to meet changing community needs, and manages nearly 300 charitable funds for like-minded individuals, families, businesses and nonprofits who are connected by their passion for making a difference. Together with donors and fund holders, the Community Foundation has awarded $120 million in grants and scholarships over its 43-year history.
Impact 100 Palm Beach County “Impact 100 PBC” was formed in the fall of 2011 as a component fund of CFPBMC, which facilitates the administration of our high impact $100,000 grants. CFPBMC provides an online platform for our grants process and serves as our fiscal agent. This relationship is particularly valuable to Impact 100 PBC, as an all-volunteer organization.
Grants are awarded solely by the members of Impact 100 PBC at the annual membership meeting in April of each year. In our first four years, Impact 100 PBC has awarded $1,124,000 in grants to 19 local nonprofits. Our membership, which is renewed annually, continues to grow in number each year. Our goal for this, our fifth year, is 500 members and five $100,000 grants.
