Global Impact News

IMG_8242[2].JPGThere are now 40 Impact 100 groups around the world, with a dozen more in development around the country!

This past October, over 120 women, representing many of the Impact organizations, attended the first Impact 100 Global Conference, chaired by Impact 100 Founder Wendy Steele and our own Tandy Robinson. It was held at the Delray Beach Marriott and was an exciting collaborative weekend of sharing best practices and ideas for making Impact 100 even more impactful.

Impact 100 Global named one of “25 Most Influential Organizations in Philanthropy & Charitable Giving” ***

Board of Directors Approve Five Focus Area Grant-Making Model

When Wendy Steele, the founder of Impact 100, created the philanthropic model for Impact 100, her ultimate goal was to reach 500 members and award one high-impact $100,000 grant in each of five focus areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Family and Health & Wellness.

The Board of Directors of Impact 100 Palm Beach County has embraced the intent of Wendy Steele’s Impact 100 model and resolved, that going forward, in any given grant year Impact 100 Palm Beach County reaches 500 or more members, a $100,000 grant will be awarded in each of the five focus areas.

Adopting this grant-making policy allows for greater and more far-reaching impact in our local communities, particularly where arts & culture and environment are concerned.

A New Year, A Fresh Start

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”
― Oprah Winfrey

January is often considered the month for reflection and new beginnings. We look back at the year behind us, lamenting our regrets and celebrating our successes.  And then, we look forward to the future year.

It is also a good time to make resolutions, get organized, plan for the year ahead and perhaps even try something new. In that vein, Impact 100 Palm Beach County is thrilled to be debuting their new website and excited to start the New Year off by launching our own Blog.  Yes, it was time for not only a facelift, but a complete overhaul to our website.   Deep gratitude to Cendyn one of our remarkable supporters for their generosity in underwriting the time and talent to create our new website.

You spoke we listened.  The new website will be mobile responsive so you can easily access Impact 100 information and updates from your smartphones or tablets.  New features include:

  1. Members Only Section
  2. Online Volunteer Form
  3. Calendar
